After years of playing those boring old bike balancing and stunt games, each the same as the next, praying and hoping for someone to make something better of such a fun genre, I was overjoyed when I stumbled upon this magnificent game. CycloManiacs is everything these games never had but always needed; personality. A game of impressive detail and engaging gameplay, CycloManiacs takes your average bike game and turns it into the most fun you can have on a cycle.
Complete with upgrades and a host of hilarious riders to unlock and play with, CycloManiacs constantly challenges you while never falling short on cuteness, thanks to the lovely animated artwork in the game. You get to play in 5 worlds with 5 levels within each world, with varying levels of difficulty and fun. There’s also a bonus level to keep you entertained after you finish the game.
The best part about CycloManiacs is that it’s not about winning races. In order to unlock anything in this game, you must make the achievements mentioned at the start of each level. This keeps the game interesting and brings in an element of strategy as well, much appreciated in an otherwise repetitive genre. The game also features different modes like the piano chase, don’t forget to watch the videos to get some tips on sneaky starts and game glitches you can use to win!
You can even boost your way past other riders, but you’ve got to risk it with some stunts for that to happen. There’s also a separate section that contains cheats and tips to the game. The soundtrack of the game sounds like an alternative rock band jamming, not bad at all by any means. The artwork, as mentioned before, is detailed and very attractive. The different atmospheres of every world keep the game feeling fresh throughout.
Overall, CycloManiacs ranks on top of my charts for bike racing games. A refreshing and welcome change from the other run-of-the-mill games, this game will definitely not disappoint. Happy Cycling!CycloManiacs,
